If the unit was deeper, it would help but It isn’t deep enough for my needs. I’m nervous the kids will prop their feet on the front (easily forgotten not to) or someone might lean on it and tip it. It would take a bunch of pressure to tip it but our carpet is not very tall at all and it’d be easy enough for young kids to do. It just isn’t as sturdy as I had hoped for my needs. I’ll be anchoring it, if not moving it away to use it for something else.Also, the side shelves aren’t as big as I hoped and won’t fit my fan on, which is something I wasn’t hoping to get off the floor with this piece. It can’t occilate without bumping the tv. It fits on the shelf if the tv wasn’t there.Building it was easy once I realized I mixed up the middle piece for the top piece. I thought the holes were too small to fit the caps (step 1) then realized I had the wrong piece and after that, I was done in under 10 minutes. The poles are plastic but seem strong enough to hold the listed weight limits. (I believe it was 40 pounds on the top shelf and 15 on all the other 5).Colors matched online pic and quality (pressed wood/no scratches) are what I expected for the price.Just please be careful if you have young kids. Keep an eye on it and / or anchor it, even on short carpets/rugs. I can’t speak for wood/hard floors.”
