All pieces were properly drilled for holes, but: 1) A couple of holes were a bit loose for their threaded connectors – this necessitated using some wood glue to secure them. 2) The screw hole for one of the panels for the central unit that holds the drawers ripped open when tightening with the circular clamp. This was likely due to the particle board being very dry making it brittle, which it normally is. Luckily, I am a woodworker and have a nail-gun and was able to secure the corner affected. If you don’t have a nail gun or similar and run into the same issue you may have a problem and will need to replace the panel. 3) I had to use wood glue as a precaution to ensure the central case would not become loose over time: Some of the screw with circular clamp joints don’t quite fit perfectly using the circular clamping system used. So, it’s not a bad idea to use wood glue, it will ensure your case doesn’t loosen over time. 4) Screws Missing: The table comes with a concealed electrical outlet which is a nice touch and is very useful. However, the two machine screws to secure it were missing. There’s no indication in the instructions what size screws these are so I can’t easily find them locally, though I’m sure it won’t be difficult after calling VASAGE and asking for replacements. 5) Assembly Instructions: The instructions that come with the side table are correct, and there are no mistakes. However, they could have been a bit clearer using some verbiage rather than just images. I can read such drawings and illustrations without issue, but some may not. IMPORTANT: 1) You must pay careful attention to the visual details in the drawings otherwise it’s easy to make a mistake. 2) Take your time and triple-check your work before moving to the next phase. 3) DO NOT USE POWER TOOLS FOR SCREWED JOINTS: You might want to use a drill to screw. Do Not! Too much torque will strip the particle board’s predrilled holes. The screwdriver that comes with the table is adequate and works. If you have a better screwdriver, you can use it instead, but DO NOT use a power screwdriver/drill. Overall, the side table is functional and is moderately attractive. I would have given this item 5 stars were it not for the above issues. I am not sure I would recommend this item to a friend.”
